Rishin Patel, a 16-year-old sophomore at Barrington High School, is highly involved in academics, athletics, extracurriculars, and community service in and around his community. Academically, he excels as a leading member of the Barrington High School Math T eam. Competing in math contests since sixth grade, Rishin most recently placed in the top four of the 2024 ICTM State Competition’s two-person event. He is also a member of the Barrington High JV Lincoln Douglas Debate T eam and is a two-year participant in the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) Challenge. Rishin also loves playing cricket. As a leader on his team, he ranked among the top 10% of U13 batsmen in the country in 2022 and represented Missouri in the 2024 U15 USA National Cricket T ournament. Rishin is also equally passionate about service and leadership. As an intern with Achieve T ogether and an active participant in Leadership Initiative’s International Internship Program specializing in Public Health since 2023, he actively works to impact his community. Rishin is interested in pursuing a career in medicine, with aspirations to specialize in oncology, cardiology, or pathology. In his free time, he enjoys baking, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
